About julie
I qualified from West Yorkshire University, Huddersfield School of Podiatry and Chiropody in 1988. As a result of achieving the Highest Aggregate Marks over three years I was awarded the “Smith and Nephew Chiromed Thorn Boy Award”.
After leaving University, I worked for five years in the NHS. Firstly in Bradford and then in St. Helens and Knowsley. During my time at St. Helens, I worked in Diabetic Foot Care at Whiston Hospital whilst providing Foot Health Promotion for the whole Community Podiatry Department. Therefore I was awarded a certificate in Health Promotion.
Returning to work after having four children, I joined my husband Mark in his private practice in Moreton. In 2001 I took over the Staff Podiatry clinics at Arrowe Park and Clatterbridge Hospital, consequently providing a Podiatry service for all the staff working within Wirral Teaching Hospital Trust.
In addition to building up an extensive home visiting podiatry service in 2005, I opened a service at the Osteopathy and Natural Health Clinic in Grange Road, West Kirby. More recently in 2007, I extended my services to include working at Willaston Physiotherapy and Sports Injury Clinic, 57 Hooton Road, Willaston. Similarly I provide regular podiatry in Moreton on a Thursday afternoon.
I treat general foot problems and provide diabetic foot care in clinic and home environments. In addition to this, I am happy to perform Annual Diabetic Foot Checks for all my patients.
